CHILD POLICY
We would really like Terra Africa to be a comfortable environment for every visitor spending time with us. We value travellers from all ages and walks of life and love the little one’s especially, as they bring renewed energy to our environment and ensure warm smiles all around. We’ve even gone as far as putting in a toddler’s splash pool next to the big people’s pool so mommy and daddy can relax when on holiday and let the little one’s have some undisturbed kiddies fun in the Namibian sun!

We want to make absolutely certain that everyone’s visit to Terra Africa is an unforgettable one and we will do everything we can to make you and your family feel at home with us. All we ask is that you bear in mind that others will be using the Terra Africa House whilst you are visiting with us and thereafter as well.

Guesthouse Terra Africa was designed primarily to cater for our adult guests. That's why we could afford to decorate it with irreplaceable items, artefacts and welcome an art gallery initiative in and around our establishment. As we are a family our self, with a bunch of little ones around our feet, and really want to share our establishment with everyone; we have developed family rooms to cater for such needs as well and thus welcome your family into ours. BUT, it’s a fact of life that children don't always recognise the value of such small, intricate and special things. And so we ask you to make sure your children treat our Terra Africa House with care and respect.

Terra Africa would like to have happy memories of your stay with us in the same manner we hope you will remember us fondly.
That’s why we would appreciate it if you could take the time to read through these simple guidelines and agree to abide by them.

  • Kids will be kids – but we have found that best behaviour makes for better holidays!
  • Please look after the furniture. That means no shoes and jumping on couches, beds and no taking furniture outside.
  • Our books and magazines are for your reading pleasure. All we ask is that you bring them indoors when you’re done for the day.
  • Most of our décor, African artefacts and artwork are fragile and some are truly irreplaceable. Looking is safer than touching. We will have to charge for any breakages.
  • Please do not throw stones at the Koi fish/in the Koi dam or try engineering techniques on our water features and water pumps. Our water features are really sensitive environments and cost a great deal to install and maintain. Damaging them will regrettably have to damage daddy’s credit card as well…
  • The Terra Africa team is child-friendly, but there may be times that we have to ask your children to tone things down a bit. All we ask is your permission to do this should the need arise.
